Elizabeth Edsall Kromm, PhD, MSc
Dr. Kromm is currently an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Health, Behavior and Society at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Prior to returning to school for her doctorate, she worked on state and national level policy issues in the areas of tobacco use and cancer control for the National Government Relations Office of the American Cancer Society and the Center for Tobacco Cessation. Kromm has also been involved in research on health care rationing and cost-sharing policies for the World Health Organization’s European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies and the United Kingdom Division of Eli Lilly.
Kromm received a PhD in Health Policy and Management from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is a recipient of several awards relating to her research including the American Lung Association’s Lung Health Dissertation Award, a pre-doctoral appointment by the National Cancer Institute as well as the John C. Hume doctoral Award and the Victor Raymond Award. Kromm’s work is published in peer-reviewed journals and has been accepted for presentation at national and international conferences. She holds a master’s degree in International Health Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
